creative process

Fi Cameron’s creative process begins with collecting found objects and photographic images.

Sculpture is at the heart of her creative brainstorming. She works quickly, responding to the aesthetics and function of the medium in an automatic way. The next phase, is a period of reflection of the forms and patterns that have been created, and the possible implications of these.

The sculptures are often then photographed, sketched or painted. This documentation continues the exploration process, and can lead to new works - fabrication of the sculptural forms, prints or paintings. The gallery in the folio section displays many of these artworks.
